Project summary

Normandy, a Colombian brand, wanted to elevate Cocadas, a traditional coconut sweet originating from the Afro-Colombian coast, into a modern product that could travel beyond local familiarity while honoring its roots. The goal was to create a brand and packaging system that celebrates origin and culture, feels premium yet approachable, and works across multiple formats, from a gift box to individual snacks designed for sharing.

Design Principles

  • Celebrate origin with respect
  • Premium, not pretentious
  • Joyful color, controlled structure
  • Giftable by default
  • System that scales across formats

Approach

A cohesive brand and packaging system that expresses coastal heritage through color, botanical motifs, and premium detailing, while maintaining approachability through clean structure and friendly composition. The system was designed to scale across a large gift box and individual snack units, enabling both personal indulgence and shareable formats. The result is a product that feels like a modern, culturally rooted treat: distinctive on shelf, desirable as a gift, and flexible for different buying occasions.
